Low Intentions bring you Capital Jam 2009.Capital Jam is a minitruck/custom car show that is held annually on the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra. The show'n'shine will be held on Saturday the 10 October with trophies awarded for various categories.
Important announcement: The venue is different to previous years!
Read below for further information:
The show will now be held at Patrick White Lawns, in front of the National Library of Australia. This is on the other side of the Lake to where the show has previously been held.
To help guide everyone to the new spot, we will be meeting in the car park behind the old show area (Rond Terraces) and cruising across the bridge to the new site.
Events will follow into the night with the people meeting up at Uni Pub in civic later in the evening.
Vehicle entry is $5 upon arrival at the show. Entry to spectators is free however gold coin donations are appreciated. All the proceeds will go to the Eden and Monaro Cancer Support Group that provides support, guidance and counseling to cancer sufferers. Last year we raised over $2000 and this year we hope to raise even more! There will also be a few raffles with some good prizes with proceeds going to charity.
The Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group will also be having a sausage sizzle and also selling drinks once again. We understand that this show may be quite a long drive for interstaters, so we will be making it a bit more then just a show. Whoever brings their truck/custom the furthest and enters Capital Jam will win the 'Biggest Trek' award (sponsored by Low Intentions). The winner of this prize also wins a $100 fuel voucher!
So mark down this date: Saturday 10 October 2009!
